Can't stop thinking about yesterday's training. It wasn't a really good one in terms of no. of routes completed. However, I am happy to see how far my fellow climbers are willing to go to complete the routes set by coach, despite the challenges. Oh, before I forget, coach's gone away from the black tape routes and has gone into giving us various boulder problems that have holds consisting of black, blue and red tapes. Kind of amazed at how coach is pushing us to try harder routes w/o us knowing. Which was part of the plan by coach to prepare us for the upcoming bouldering competition in August. Cool stuff.
- Lost my focus during training yesterday, and I didn't really attempt much as a result of that. But towards the end, I decided that enough was enough, and went on to try the last route of the day set by coach, repeatedly. Came so close to finishing the route on my final attempt, whereby I got a good hold of the finishing tile already, but I couldn't grab it well in time and fell. Amazingly, the fall kind of 'woke me up', despite it looking so painful and dangerous and a possible injury-causing fall. Nonetheless, it was a good attempt on my last one. Looking forward to completing it! Whatever is mentioned above is pertaining to the guys. Heard that the girls have progressed quite a fair bit too, having been able to do the chin-ups that guys do. Really happy to see them make such quick progress! So proud of my climbers! |
