Oh look at the time (currently 2:17 AM). Planned to start on my Physics & Math homework, but well, procrastination got the better of me and thus, I ended up watching documentaries & climbing videos all the way until now. And since I'm not really gonna sleep early (no idea why), I figured I'd update this page on the happenings the past week.
- Many things happened this week, but I guess the main highlight would be the confirmation of my CCA Ex-co positions. Well, I didn't really expect myself to get the position I got, mainly because I felt that I didn't do a good job for my speech. Yeah, it was a speech & not the usual 1-1 interview. Got a rather huge shock when Mr Wee said that nominees would have to prepare a speech. So I went out and I realised that the whole time I was out, more than half of it was spent on catching my breath, trying to calm myself down, and finding out that I was staring into blank space. After going through the speech and the bombardement of questions, the J2s and Mr Wee went next door to discuss the voting and stuff. According to him, it was a close fight, and I think I can count myself lucky to be given the position of Captain. The same thing happened for the rest of the other positions. Was generally happy with the results of the new Ex-Co, although I didn't expect certain things to happen. Nevertheless, I look forward to my term of office, and hope that the CCA will really achieve greater things under my leadership. Friday was the first training as Captain, and frankly speaking, I was more of stressed up compared to nervous. In fact, I was stressed up way before training (probably on Thursday, a day after the voting & stuff). Guess it's time to learn to manage my roles and responsibilities, and not try to be too full of myself. - And apart from that, I guess nothing much has happened this week, except going back to school on Saturday (yesterday) to tape up the new routes coach set for the guys, as well as to study! Had a productive session, way more productive than at home because I can get nothing done. |
