OG 2 - Voda!

AJC Orientation was definitely the best I've ever had! Especially the individual dance, mass dance, couple dance & not forgetting the cheering parts & of course, Orientation Finale! Definitely gonna be an OGL next year, but firstly I'm gonna do well for my Promos!

Backed out of Volleyball due to the hectic training schedule, and I didn't stay in Basketball either. So much for wanting to go to college basketball last year. Right now, I'm in band! But there's a big problem. The current J1 Tubist wants to go to Flute, while the other Swiss Tubist is not coming to band, or so I heard. Desperately in need of another Tubist to help me. I don't wanna carry the whole load alone. But I had fun yesterday, learnt many new things from the Alumni! Hope to go back to Unity and teach the juniors :D

Gotten an AIPO AP-38EX Dry Cabinet, a 50mm f/1.8 II prime lens, a PS3. I'm also sporting a new haircut and a pair of new specs! Well, a new chapter is gonna unfold tomorrow, excited for it. Can't really believe that I've actually gotten such results. There is still some doubts about it. No matter, since right now I'm on my way to prepare for the next 2 years of my schooling life! Finally, it's time to go back to school and hit the books.

I don't know why I keep on uploading pictures of the rim, guess I've nothing else to upload.

Well, the week's passed, and I must say, it was a rather smooth one.

Gotten back my results on Monday. The moment when I realised my name wasn't on the screen, I was devastated. But when I got back my results, it was a totally different thing. Didn't expect myself to be able to reproduce better results compared to my prelims. Though both Emath & Amath turned out to ba an A2, I'm satisfied with my results (though I was a bit upset initially).

Rinascimento 2 on Friday. Being an Alumni was an amazing experience. Lesser restrictions, lesser freedom, more respect. But yeah, it was fun being with the juniors. Perspired a lot more compared to the previous years when helping the others move the things onto the lorry. First time as an Alumni, and it was fun.

Collected my Edusave Scholarship on Saturday. $400 into my bank, which means I can go on a shopping spree! Well, not really. First I'm gonna go look for an Electronic Dry Cabinet for my DSLR. Maybe I will shop after that, maybe.

Oh, and not forgetting that I'm giving tuition on Sundays! Another source of income, hopefully my student will produce good results.

And my week ended just like that. Can't wait for the release of school allocation on 30th January. I really hope I get into AJC, though NYJC isn't that bad either. But I'm not really interested in SAJC, would rather go to PJC if I end in SAJC. (I know I'm crazy, but whatever).

Next post will most probably be when I receive my posting results.

Overdue Post.

Amazing year 2011 was. Well, happy new year people! What are your new year resolutions? Have you achieved what you've set out to do in 2011?

Well, I have. Not really things I set for myself when 2011 started, but a few years ago. Anyway, at least I managed to achieve it.

2011 has been an exceptionally significant year, being my last SYF with the band, as well as my graduation year. I came up 1 point short of entering Kranji Sec, and I sometimes do wonder what my life would be like if I ended up in my 2nd choice school instead of Unity.

Nevertheless, it's been an awesome 4 years for me in Unity. Through the many highs & lows, ups & downs, I learnt many important life lessons, and made many great friends. Thanks everyone!

Just bought the DSLR and the lens! And the total cost is cheaper than the Kit II by $1. Value for money eh? Will be uploading some of the pictures I took soon.

Anyway, I kind of miss working for Playcraft, especially during this Sitex Fair. 2 booths, and the many faces I saw brought back lots of memories. Well, I can't afford to give up my current job either. Oh well, I have to learn to be satisfied with what I have now, instead of asking for more.

Guess I won't be playing all the pieces for the concert next year. Shall just stick to playing for the Alumni items. Seriously, this holiday is like the hectic one yet. One job has taken up practically all my weekdays, and I'm left with only the weekends to enjoy. Good thing band practice has stopped for the time being. I really need a breather.

My O's are over, and hopefully I won't suffer from any withdrawal symptoms in the weeks to come! Did some mass clearing of my books, worksheets, and rearranging the stuff in my cupboard. Spent close to an hour doing so, and it was worth it.

My busy holiday schedule shall take effect from tomorrow onwards. Gonna spend my next few weeks wisely, hope to make this holiday a productive one!

My self-declared holiday has started, since my SS paper, which is the last major paper, has ended today. There's a one week break before my Science Paper 1 on the 14th November, and after that it's when I will get real busy.

Some of the papers were kind of messed up. Needless to say, I made a few careless mistakes here and there. Generally, I'm still satisfied. Since it's over, I shall not let my past mistakes dampen my mood.

Chalet, SCM 2011, Family Trip, Job, Practices, Concert. These are my activities over the next 2 months, excluding the time I'm gonna use to do my own stuff. I sure am looking forward to my final paper on the 14th.

Shall spend my free time thinking about Poly and JC.

I miss my Tuba. Hopefully my standard is still there, after months of not practicing.

Been studying everyday. Many things lined up for me after O's, but right now I'm only concerned about my O's. Well, practical's 4 days' time and I wanna use it to boost my confidence for the following weeks.

This is me, as a kid. I guess most kids were pretty much the same as me, spending our days thinking if it was possible to become Superman by just wearing a cape.

This is how a student would feel under the hectic education system in Singapore. I'm one of them, and I guess this is how things look like when you study EVERY SINGLE DAY. Well, things can get pretty ugly.

I tend to have this thought in my mind at times, due to my parents scoldings and nagging at me every few days.

But no matter how they scolded or nagged at me, I knew they were trying to tell me this.

No matter how harsh my parents' words were, and how demoralising things seemed to be, I kept on telling myself this, and I pressed on.

Because at the end of the day, I will be the one achieving success. And this is how I will feel at the end of everything: TOP OF THE WORLD

So, stop telling yourself how much you wanna succeed in life, or how you wanna prove others wrong. Do something about it, change your words into actions.

Hopefully what was written above was able to motivate and inspire my readers.

Well, life hasn't changed that much. Studying basically sums up everything. O's are coming up in about 5 weeks time, and I'm still not ready for it I guess? Guess I gotta make full use of the next 5 weeks.

10th grade

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called
"best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it.

After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

11th grade

The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep.

She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Senior year

The day before prom she walked to my locker. "My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step! I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Graduation Day

A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. A Few Years Later

Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. Funeral

Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read:
