title :
Learnt much from today's mod competition during training. Coach had us go through the whole competition sequence, from demonstration to the actual climb itself. 19 mins is seriously a very very short amount of time. Flashed problem 1 (the 2nd last tile was really really difficult to hold)
Flashed problem 5 (powered my way through because I didn't read the problem before trying) Took 3-5 attempts on problem 2 (couldn't really figure out how to execute the last few moves) Couldn't manage to complete problem 4 (quite a big jump to me) Didn't attempt problem 3 (which turned out to be quite easy) Learnt to listen to my own body while up on the wall. Modified the sequence for problem 2 by adding a toe hook & a heel hook because my body wanted to do so, and I trusted it. And I must really be committed to whatever moves I'm doing. If it's a jump, commit to it and go all out. No hesitation. Visualize the move, get up on the wall, execute. Simple as that. Blessed to have met such a great coach and a great team. I love my climbers. |
